Membership and Retention
Develops strategies for attracting and retaining members. Follows up leads with personal contacts and invites prospects to join. Hosts new member orientation receptions throughout the year. Provides input and consultation for membership drive events, chapter value propositions and marketing.
Identifies the education and networking needs of members and plans timely and relevant chapter meeting programs and social events. Seek out relevant, applicable and new program ideas and industry topics of interest from members, sponsors, surveys and other research. Leverage industry contacts to recruit interesting and knowledgeable speakers.
Oversee and consult on sponsorship initiatives and prospective partnerships. Determine and define value propositions, prospect opportunities and pricing. Participate in member outreach to solicit
Government Affairs Committee
Research, communicate and take action to shape laws and policies affecting the commercial real estate industry on critical topics affecting real estate development in New York. Act as liaison between NAIOP
Student Affairs Committee
Organize career industry panels at universities. Identify and secure speakers including developers, owners, operators, lenders, investors, etc. Coordinate with student club’s leaders to handle the logistics
Developing Leaders/Community Action Committee
Plans programs, professional development and membership benefits exclusively for Developing Leaders, including social gatherings, sporting events, and community service projects.
Corporate Communications Committee
Provide feedback, content and reviews on communications such as newsletters, brochures, Social Media and the NAIOP NYC website. Provide consultation on other industry organization collaboration opportunities, joint ventures and events.
